People have different needs in the area of watering plants and grasses. Be it a lawn, a garden of flowers, vegetables and other shrubs, there is a specific sprinkler that is suitable for the application. But sometimes, the variations just have to be on the type of sprinkler head to be used.
Sprinkler head or sometimes referred to as the swing line is the part that directly sprinkles the water. It has a connector to where the water hose is being attached. And when the valve to where the hose was connected opens, water will splash from the sprinkler head.
Among the types of heads are the rotor type, the impact head, the micro-sprayer and the pop-up rotor head. These types of head are designed for certain types of applications.
The rotor type head rotates to cover wider lawn sections. This type of head is suitable for application in the large and open areas.
Another type that is suitable for large open spaces is the impact sprinkler head. This type of head was named from the principle of its design. The mechanical arm that distributes the streaming water provides large impact causing the water to be distributed far and wide. Thus, the name impact sprinkler head was given to it.
The micro-sprayer on the other hand can be set at bubble-size sprays. It can be expanded to a 10-foot while covering the whole 360 degrees radius. This type of sprinkler head is best for flower and vegetable bed and other applications that have limited spaces and do not require large amounts of water.
The pop-up rotor head is for application that is inserted in the ground, covering wide portions. During the watering process, the upper portion pops up to the ground and sprinkle water to the area.
